My Inner World

My daughter, Munchkin, and I just came back from a week’s holidays in The Netherlands. We have not been on a family holiday in ages. It always seems to be bad timing. Well, good timing has arrived on our doorstep in the form of a lovely cheque from the tax people! I know, somewhere there is a big gaping hole in the space-time continuum! Birds are falling silent, and the wind has dropped.
The cosmos must be confused, but I won’t tell if you won’t!
So, next August we take for the skies once more. The three of us are heading to the Netherlands for a week on my parent’s boat, going out with friends (me) and fishing (him) and being doted upon (her).
I am just after booking on-line and mentally I am already sipping on a nice cold glass of White Beer (shut up, it is too nice!) and lathering on the sun-block.
And he, if the weather sucks big hairy monkey balls, which let’s face it, is a possibility with it being the Netherlands and all, there are plenty of other things to do! It’s home baby!
I miss the food, the roads, the fact that I can go in to a shop five minutes before closing and still get a loaf of brown bread! Going to see my friends whenever I want to, that’s a biggie…..
Roll on August is all I can say. Roll on!
